Kentucky Science Center hosts exclusive solar eclipse event

On April 8th, the Kentucky Science Center will host a special event in preparation for the upcoming solar eclipse. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public. With admission, guests will have access to all of the Kentucky Science Center’s activities spread across 50,000 square feet of space.

The Kentucky Science Center has planned a variety of special programming for this occasion, including educational sessions on eclipse-viewing safety, cultural interpretations of eclipses and constellations, and more. Guests can also create their own pinhole cameras and view the live coverage of the eclipse from NASA.

In addition to these activities, guests can attend documentary screenings of Journey to Space 3-D, a film about NASA’s Space Shuttle program and the International Space Station. This is a once-in-20-years phenomenon and Mike Norman, Chief Executive Officer of the Kentucky Science Center, is excited for the event.

The Kentucky Science Center is located at 727 W. Main Street and is open seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., making it easy for everyone to attend this unique event.
