In a tragic accident, several workers fell into the waters of the Patapsco River while repairing potholes on a bridge in Baltimore. The collapse of the bridge, constructed in 1977 as part of Interstate 695, has halted activity at the port of Baltimore, which is crucial for import and export shipments.
